Founder Pham Dinh Nguyen—after stints at Coca-Cola, Nokia, Mars, X-Men, and Kinh Do—established IDS in District 12, Ho Chi Minh City, positioning the company as “a distributor that works as a partner, not a middleman.”
IDS became the prime contractor building VISSAN’s distribution system across 28 provinces in northern Vietnam — proving its large-scale execution capability.
International brands chose IDS: Castrol (to establish a retail network compliant with global BP standards) and L’Oréal Vichy (to operate a flagship store and beauty advisor program).
IDS took on the premium brands Lancôme, Shu Uemura, and Kiehl’s under L’Oréal’s Luxury (Luxe) division.
IDS was named a “Global Ambassador” by Castrol BP — one of only 63 representatives worldwide — after five consecutive years as an “Outstanding Distributor” in Vietnam.
Expanded distribution for L’Oréal’s Consumer Products Division (CPD) in Ho Chi Minh City with L’Oréal Paris, Maybelline, and Garnier — operating premium and mass-market portfolios in parallel.
